Day 1: Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey! You’re greeted upon arrival and escorted to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Istanbul
Visit Topkapi Palace; over 400 years the  residence of the Ottoman sultans, the Hippodrome; used for chariot races, the splendid Blue Mosque, St. Sophia; a present-day museum built in 537 A.D and the center of Eastern Christian Churche in its time,  the Grand Covered  Bazaar. Consider an optional dinner complete with belly-dancing. (B, L)

Day 3: Istanbul
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day tour of Dolmabahce Palace, a beautiful 19th century palace right by the waterfront and a cruise on the Bosphorus viewing prestigious buildings and palaces on both Asian and European shores to complete your stay. Explore the city during a free afternoon. (B,L)

Day 4: Istanbul
After breakfast you will be escorted to the airport for your flight home. (B)

Day 1
: Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey! You’re greeted upon arrival and escorted to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure before meeting your tour
guide and travel companions for a short welcome briefing. Gallipoli excursion, Gallipoli guided tours, visiting, Dardanelles, Gallipoli battlefields, Canakkale, Eceabat, Pegamon, Troia, Ephesus.
Day 2: Istanbul
Visit Topkapi Palace
; residence of the Ottoman Sultans, ancient Hippodrome; where chariot races took place in Roman times, the Blue Mosque with 6 minarets, St. Sophia; a present-day museum built in 537 A.D as the Byzantine Church’s seat and the Grand Covered Bazaar. Consider an optional dinner complete with belly-dancing and folkloric Turkish performances. Day 3: Gallipoli - Dardanelles - Canakkale
En route to Gallipoli, visi
ting Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, Chunuk Bair, Kabatepe War Museum and Allied Trenches. Cross the Dardanelles to Canakkale, your home for the night. (B,D)

Day 4: Troy - Pergamum - Kusadasi
Visit Troy’s legendary walls and replica of the famous wooden horse used during the Trojan War
, current excavations in progress. Tour ancient Pergamum, home to the Altar of Zeus. Continue to Kusadasi one of the most liveliest harbour town of Turkey.Overnight stay. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Ephesus - Kusadasi
Tour the ruins of Ephesus, including the Virgin Mary’s
Last House, 2000 year old marble streets, ancient theaters, the library of Celsius, gymnasium and Hadrian’s Temple. (B,L)

Day 6: Pamukkale
Afternoon drive to Pamukkale and check in to thermal spa hotel! Visiting Pamukkale cotton castle, travertines and Hierapolis ancient city and watching the sunset over the breathtaking white cascades. Stay overnight. Consider taking a Turkish Bath and curing thermal mud baths and/or Hamam. (B,D)

Day 7: Pamukkale - Aphrodisias - Kusadasi

Noon drive to Aphrodisias; birth place of the Goddess of Love Aphrodite, short visit then continue to Kusadasi  for overnight stay. (B,L)

Day 8: Kusadasi - Samos or Istanbul
Transfer to
Kusadasi pier for the ferry to Samos or drive back to Istanbul. (B)


Note: This is an excellent itinerary for connecting to Greece. Clients can embark a cruise, catch a flight to Athens, or take a ferry to Samos.

 

 

-Pergamum - Thyatira - Izmir - Ephesus - Pamukkale - Hierapolis - Laodicea - Philadelphia - Sardis - Izmir


Day 1: Izmir - Pergamum - Thyatira - Izmir
Greeted at Izmir Airport
, ancient name Smyrna (Rev 2:8-11). Journey to Pergamum's (Rev 2:12-17), ancient Acropolis, home to the Altar of Zeus and the Roman medical center of Asklepion, then drive to Akhisar and visit to Thyatira (Rev 2:18-29; Acts 16:14) a city of artisans' guilds in St. Paul's time. Return to Izmir for overnight. (B,L)

Day 2: Ephesus - Pamukkale
This morning we explore Ephesus with its expansive synthesis of Greco-Roman and Christian remains (Ephesians; Rev 1:11: 2:1-7; Acts 18:19-28: 19:1-4). It was the home of St. Paul between 54 and 57 AD. Nearby we visit the Virgin Mary's House in a wooded hill top where it was miraculously discovered. Finally we stop at the restoration of St. John's Basilica where according to legend, he was buried. For evening we continue on to Pamukkale, the white "Cotton Fortress" lime cascades of the Roman spa Hierapolis. Enjoy a leisurely bath in the warm mineral waters of your hotel's pool. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Hierapolis - Laodicea - Philadelphia - Sardis - Izmir
After breakfast we visit the Hierapolis. This was Philip the Evangelist's home. We will tour the extensive necropolis, churches and baths then stop at nearby Laodicea (Rev. 3:14-22: Col 2:1: 4:13-16) then we drive to Philadelphia (Rev 3:7-13) in Alasehir, a favourite city of Paul and John. We visit Sardis (Rev 3:16) with its beautiful gymnasium and marble paved synagogue.
Our  representative escorts you to the airport or back to your hotel in Izmir, Kusadasi. (B)

-Istanbul - Ankara - Cappadocia


Day 1: Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey! You’re greeted upon arrival and escorted to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Istanbul
Visit Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman sultans, the ancient Hippodrome; center of social activities and chariot races in Roman & Byzantine times, the Blue Mosque; unique with its six minarets, St. Sophia; a present-day museum built in 537 A.D still the fourth biggest cathedral in the world and the Grand Covered Bazaar homing more than 4000 shops. Consider an optional dinner with belly-dancing and Turkish folklore. (B, L)

Day 3: Istanbul
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day tour of the 17th century Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar), an opportunity to taste or buy Turkish delights, baklava, herbal medicine. Then a cruise on the Bosphorus viewing the beauty and wealth of the city. Explore the city during a free afternoon. You may ask your guide for evening attractions or events in the city. (B,L)

Day 4: Istanbul - Ankara - Cappadocia
Fly to Ankara to view Hittite artifacts at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. Drive to Cappadocia, visiting a 13th century caravan inn en route. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Cappadocia
Tour Goreme's rock chapels decorated with 6th century frescoes, world's most fascinating landscape " fairy chimneys ", Byzantine monastic complex and Uchisar's natural citadel. Demonstration of local pottery masters who still use the traditional kick wheel. Dinner at a restaurant serving local specialties and overnight in Cappadocia. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Cappadocia - Ankara
Explore the 85 mts deep underground city of Kaymakli where thousands of early Christians hid from persecutors. After lunch and souvenir shopping, drive to Ankara and transfer to hotels or the airport. (B,L)

 

-Istanbul - Ankara - Cappadocia - Izmir - Pamukkale


Day 1: Istanbul

Day 2:
Istanbul
Visit Topkapi Palace
; residence of the Ottoman Sultan's. The ancient Hippodrome built in 203 A.D by the Romans for chariot races. Blue Mosque; attended by the Sultan's as an imperial mosque. Hagia Sophia; a present-day museum from 537 A.D, converted into a mosque upon the conquest of Constantinople. The Grand Covered Bazaar with more than 4000 shops. (B, L)

Day 3: Istanbul
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day tour of Dolmabahce Palace, a beautiful 19th century palace right by the waterfront
and a cruise along the picturesque Bosphorus. Stroll in the city during a free afternoon. (B,L)

Day 4: Ankara - Cappadocia
Fly to Ankara to view
the 10.000 year old Hittite artifacts  at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Visiting Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk who is the father of modern Turkey. Drive to Cappadocia, entering a 13th century caravan-inn en route. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Cappadocia
Tour Goreme
Open Air Museum with unique churches dug in caves and decorated with striking frescoes, Pasabaglari Monk's Valley, Uchisar's rock dwelling citadel. Demonstration Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. Consider an optional dinner show complete with belly-dancing. (B,L)

Day 6: Cappadocia - Ankara - Izmir
Explore the eight-story underground city of Kaymakli where thousands of early Christians hid from persecutors. After lunch and
souvenir shopping, drive to Ankara and board an evening flight to Izmir for dinner and overnight. (B,L)

Day 7: Izmir
- Pamukkale
Sightseeing drive around the Izmir city center and along coastal resorts. Continuing to Pamukkale's white lime cascades formed by hot mineral springs. After touring the Hierapolis Roman health spa ruins, Martyrion of St Philip, Domitian's Gate, Agora drive to hotel for dinner and overnight in Pamukkale. (B,L,D)

Day 8:
Kusadasi - Ephesus
Continuing to Kusadasi to explore the Greco-Roman and Christian ruins of Ephesus Ancient City. Visit the Virgin Mary's stone cottage and Artemis Temple before checking in to the hotel for overnight stay. (B,L)

Day 9: Izmir
After breakfast you will be escorted to the airport for your flight Istanbul. (B)

- Ankara - Cappadocia - Konya - Pamukkale - Antalya - Kusadasi - Pergamum  Canakkale - Istanbul

Day 1: Ankara - Cappadocia
Meeting tour guide at the hotel / airport for the tour of Ankara. Firstly the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations dispalaying the most unique and priceless collection dating back to the Prehistoric Era. The Mausoleum of Ataturk is the next stop. This magnificent structure serves as a tribute to the founder of modern Turkey. Lunch will be taken in Ankara and the drive to Cappadocia after lunch. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (L,D)

Day 2: Cappadocia
Day tour of Cappadocia, underground city of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu, the rock citadel of Uchisar where you can get the best panaromic view of the region. Goreme Open Air Museum with its churches hewn out of rock and the colourful frescoes which decorate them. Cavusin village, Pasabag Monks Valley and Avanos which houses many local pottery workshops. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Cappadocia - Konya - Pamukkale
Departing early morning for Konya. Enroute, stop to visit the 13th century caravanserai of Sultanhan which is authentically preserved. Konya the capital of the Seljuk Turks in the 13th century and home of the Mevlana Museum is also known for its theological school of whirling dervishes. Lunch will be served enroute. Arrival in Pamukkale will be late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Pamukkale - Antalya
After breakfast at the hotel stop at the calcium cliffs with the natural pools and visit the ruins of magnificent Hierapolis antique city. After lunch drive along the Taurus Mountains to Antalya. Arrival in Antalya will be late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Antalya. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Antalya
After breakfast at the hotel the full day tour in Antalya begins with a tour to Perge where you will visit the ruins of a collosal theater, stadium and huge Hellenistic and Roman gates. Continuing onto Aspendos where the best preserved Roman Theater is located and on to Side which is a small authentic village filled with classical ruins. Lunch will be served during the visits. Day 6: Antalya - Kusadasi
After the breakfast, early departure for Aphrodisias dedicated to the Goddess of Love Aphrodite. The drive to Kusadasi will begin after the visit. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Kusadasi
After breakfast at the hotel there will be a morning tour of Ephesus. This is the best preserved and the most often visited of all sites in Turkey. It is dedicated to Artemis who is the Virgin Goddess of Chase. The visits will continue with the House of Virgin Mary and the Basilica of St. John. Lunch will be served in Selcuk town. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Kusadasi - Pergamum - Canakkale
After breakfast drive to Pergamum to visit Acropolis where the steepeast theatre of the world, the temple of Trojian and the place of the famous Zeus altar can be seen & Asclepion, the foremost medical center of the ancient world and Acropolis. After lunch you will continue onto Troy. This is the legendary city of ‘Homer’ which has nine principal levels of occupation covering a period of 3000 years. Lunch will be served enroute. Dinner and overnight in Canakkale. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Canakkale - Istanbul
After breakfast cross the strait by ferry and drive to Istanbul along the shores of Marmara sea. (Gallipoli can be added to the program). Lunch will be served enroute. After arrival in Istanbul, transfer to the hotel/airport. (B,L)
